It's the high profile event where fashionistas don their brightest colours to help raise money for a good cause.


And Naomi Campbell must certainly have helped pull in some support 20th Life Ball with two dazzling gowns.


The 41-year-old supermodel left her younger counterparts in the shade at the glitzy charity event in Vienna by taking to the runway in a floor-length sparkling gown.

After taking to the runway in her gown, the 5ft 10in model changed into a mini dress with fringe detail to speak at the gala.


With simple make-up and her straight hair swept over her shoulder the London born supermodel looked simply elegant.

Milla Jovovich had the right idea for how to stand out amongst a sea of glitzy celebrities when she made her outfit choice for the 20th Life Ball.


The 36-year-old model and actress employed two tactics as a means to be the brightest star of them all, stepping out in neon while also flashing ample flesh.


All eyes were on Jovovich in a one shoulder green maxi gown which featured a thigh high split and cut out waist.




With her brunette hair swept to the side and into a bun, the screen star teamed her dress with strappy sandals which matched the hue of her clothing.


She was in Vienna for the annual AIDS charity event, at their city hall which saw nearly 40,000 people wearing vibrant costumes in attendance.

Amongst those names were former US president Bill Clinton who the star was delighted to work with on the bash.



She tweeted: 'It's so incredible at the #LIFEBALL! I had the privilege of meeting our former pres. Clinton! He is doing so much 2 help fund medicines 2 reach children in 3rd world countries working with an unbelievable woman named catherine tucker who has an orphanage in Cambodia. 


'They save children's lives every single day. What a honor to meet the real heroes.'

Jovovich was on hand to represent the US AIDS research foundation amfAR at the milestone edition of the event, while Clinton, a regular since 2007, also attended for his Clinton Health Access Initiative project.


She told the audience which included Naomi Campbell, Sean Penn, Antonio Bandereas and Brigitte Nielsen: 'What is important ... is that we are here to educate people. That's why we're here, to say what's going on.


'This kind of event is what is needed to get the message through and raise money,' added Sudanese model Alek Wek. 'The Life Ball can do that very well.'


Yesterday a host of well-known names attended an event to mark the arrival of the Life Ball Plane.


American model Keira Chaplin, Amanda Lepore and Lydia Hearst who could be seen chatting to organiser Gerry Keszler stepped out in advance of the main party which took place on a red-ribbon-shaped catwalk.

The traditional fashion show - organised this year by Vogue Italia magazine - retraced 20 years of Life Ball designs, with creations by such names as Roberto Cavalli, Vivienne Westwood, Heatherette and Gianfranco Ferre.


The Fight the Flames of Ignorance themed show opened with 100 debutantes and their partners dancing to a 'polonaise' by Frederic Chopin and performed by Australian pianist David Helfgott.


Last year, the event made 1.9 million euros ($ 2.5 million) for the fight against HIV and AIDS.
